An opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAD Designer with a background within the furniture sector to join our existing team; this role will have a heavy focus towards producing technical drawings of bathroom furniture for manufacture using CAD Software.
You will create concepts and designs for bathroom furniture and for manufacture that balances innovative design, functional requirements, and aesthetic appeal.
We are looking for experienced individuals that will bring creative flair with technical consideration to the organisation; you may possess some or all of the following skills:
Creativity and conceptual design
Experienced in producing detailed drawings of furniture for manufacture using CAD software
A strong understanding of furniture production and experience of joinery manufacturing methods and materials
A proven ability to generate accurate, detailed production/manufacturing drawings
Applicants should be prepared for a fast turnaround from initial concept to design solution
Working to timescales and hitting deadlines are essential to this role and successful product launch
Ability to calculate material costs and assess best practice
Experience in parts and material sourcing
This role requires a focused, flexible and driven individual
A vast range of product knowledge is required, due to the highly bespoke nature of our business.
Main areas of responsibility to include:
Design and development for bathroom furniture and fittings
Researching and integrating components / fittings
Generating clear and accurate approval and production drawings to the highest standards
Maintaining all up-to-date technical drawings of products.
A keen eye for evolving fashions and trends.
