Block’s tough judge gets judged himself – and wins TIDA bathroom awards – Stuff

The Block NZ: Redemption’s tough judge Jason Bonham is showing this year’s Blockies how to do it – the designer has taken out two of the four awards in the 2022 Trends International Design Awards (TIDA) New Zealand Bathroom awards.

Bonham won the TIDA New Zealand Designer Bathroom of the Year and also the Designer Bathroom Suite of the Year with two “statement” bathrooms.

The winning designer bathroom, an ensuite for two, makes a bold statement, with finishes, fixtures and accessories selected to reflect the coastal location of the home and to give it a luxurious international style.

The vanity units are teamed with decorative “bubble” sconces and distinctively shaped mirrors.

“Custom vanities on either side of the space have been designed like pieces of furniture, and paired with distinctively shaped mirrors and custom ‘bubble’ wall sconces.”

Bonham’s winning designer bathroom suite reflects a modern, international aesthetic.

Previously tiled in dark mosaics tiles, the new ensuite now features an eccentric tile application, with a pattern that flows from the entry, along the floor, and into the double shower that runs the full width of the back wall.
