We spoke to Gemma Bird, also known as the Money Saving Mum, on the three bargain bathroom accessories that you can pick up from Poundland, that will instantly add glamour to your home, without breaking the bank.
The 40-year-old mum-of-two, who lives in Billericay, Essex, lives mortgage-free in a four-bedroom detached house, drives a Range Rover and jets off on multiple holidays a year to plush resorts in Mexico, Lapland and Dubai.
But Gemma isn’t an heiress or a lottery winner – no, she’s achieved this comfortable life despite never earning more than £25k a year.
The money-saver previously told Fabulous: “I’ve never earned more than £25,000 a year. I live and breathe deals. I don’t care how much money you have, people always love a bargain.
“I’ve saved every solitary penny since the age of seven. I once managed to save almost £10,000 on a £12,000 salary thanks to my must-know hacks.”
Gemma has a whopping 298k Instagram fans and has shared her super-saver wisdom with Fabulous.
The money-saving expert counts Stacey Solomon as a fan and told us about the three bargain items that you should buy if you want your bathroom to look fabulous on a budget, from Poundland.
While there are hundreds of items out there to make any bathroom look fabulous, Gemma spotted three items in Poundland that she says you must get for your bathroom.
Gemma explained that you don’t need to spend hundreds on accessories for your home, you can find amazing items in high-street stores, with many items from Pep&Co in Poundland.
The items she reccomends are quite simple in style, but have a glamorous bamboo detailing, which will instantly elevate your bathroom.

Gemma recommends the Bamboo Toothbrush Holder, which is £1, the Bamboo Trinket Pot which is only 50p and the Bamboo Soap Dispenser, which will cost you just £1.
Gemma described these items as “perfect” and “unique” and explained that you can “kit out your bathroom with these accessories for a total of £2.50″.
She continued: “For just £2.50, you’re going to get a set of three stunning accessories.
“Not only are they useful because they’re going to do what they say – they’re going to hold your items – but they’re going to make your bathroom look pretty too.
“As well as this, you can disguise items with these – you can buy cheaper soaps and put them in the dispenser, rather than feeling the pressure of putting out an expensive Molton Brown hand soap.
“You can fill the trinket pot with your cotton wool or cotton buds to keep ugly packaging out of view.
“The toothbrush holder is great for keeping things tidy.
