Fortunately, interior design expert Nick Lewis, who currently lives in Vancouver, Canada, revealed what you can do to change that.
In a TikTok video, Nick said: “If you want to make your bathroom look and feel more expensive, here are small changes you can do to elevate your bathroom a little bit.”
The first thing you should do is get rid of your old shower curtain.
If you don’t have the money or patience to fit a shower screen in your bathroom, then simply swap your curtain out for a new one explains Nick.
Another simple way to make your bathroom look more luxe is to declutter your products.
“Move all the visible, shampoo, soap, bottles and free-standing soap dishes all around the bathtub and sink areas.
“It’ll really make your space feel really cluttered,” he explained.
Nick adds to opt for natural fragranced soaps over synthetic ones for a more refined feel.
Going for a strawberry shortcake scented soap isn’t going to feel as luxurious as a more timeless scent like vanilla or lemon.
Lastly, Nick suggests swapping out the hardware features of your bathroom cabinets to personalise the space and make it look more put together.
“This is a great way to showcase your personality and by replacing boring faucets, accessories and vanity pulls, it’ll go a long way to making your bathroom feel more luxurious.”
Viewers agreed that these easy steps could instantly make your bathroom look more luxe, one wrote: “yes! love these tips!”
Another commented: “You are fantastic! Thank you for these great tips.”
While many people enjoyed Nicks tips others were questioning where they should put their stuff.
One wrote: “Ok this but for people with kids?”
Another person asked: “So where do I put my hydrating shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, blonde specific purple shampoo, hard water clarifying shampoo?”
A third penned: “Where are you supposed to put all your shower stuff? I mean… people gotta wash lol.”
